Quimper, France: Why I’m Thankful Today

I can’t believe it’s already Thanksgiving! Today I’ll be relaxing and spending time with family, family friends, and good food. I was on stuffing and sweet potato casserole duty yesterday, but today we’ll be watching the Thanksgiving Day parade and listening to music while the turkey cooks in the oven, then finishing our other dishes for our big meal this afternoon. I’m looking forward to a lot of things, but Mom always makes Flan de Coco which is a unique Cuban Thanksgiving tradition our Cuban family made up 🙂 Everyone loves the flan, Cubans and non-Cubans alike, so we’re really excited!

In honor of Thanksgiving, I wanted to share with you “part 2” of our sisters trip to France. One of the many things I’m so thankful for is being able to travel with friends and family! I love exploring new places, people, cultures, food, etc, etc… it makes me so happy to make new memories, and I’m so lucky to be able to do it. And I’m also so thankful for my sister who shared this experience with me — I always love making new memories together, and like I mentioned before, this trip was one we’d been wanting to go on for at least a decade.

Quimper, France was probably my favorite part of our trip. If I could choose one town I could live in from where we traveled, I’d choose Quimper hands-down. Perhaps it was its small town charm, or the friendly people who would wave to each other from across the street (everyone seems to know each other), or the best food I had on the trip, or the beautiful architecture and shopping and cobblestone streets… I was in heaven! Enjoy the pictures!
