Can I just say that the weather couldn’t be more perfect in NYC this past week?! It’s been 70’s and nothing but blue skies, making it incredibly easy to walk everywhere — and walk we did… Chet and I ended up walking over 14 miles according to his tracker 🙂 Needless to say, the day after this we were exhausted and had a low-key day with family in Westchester.
In one day, I showed Chet around West Village (probably my favorite neighborhood in all of Manhattan), walked through Central Park, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, saw the 911 Memorial, ate lunch on the Upper West Side, checked out a bakery in Midtown, made it to the Standard rooftop, and after dinner walked through NYU’s campus. I don’t think I’ve ever walked that much in my life without actually training for it.
I wore the perfect outfit for walking around. These shoes have been my non-sneaker sneakers for a couple of years now. After 14 miles, they were still comfortable (in fact I wore them again today). They are Mariella sandals and not available anymore, but these and these are really similar. I also wore these joggers which are my absolute favorite. They feel like barely-there sweatpants. Finally, I wore a sleeveless gray tank from Forever 21 that I sometimes actually wear to bed.
