10 Inspirational Bookshelves for the Home

I’ve always wanted a built-in bookshelf, but I didn’t want it to be an eye-sore. I love the idea of “light and airy,” and displaying books in a way that’s aesthetically pleasing and makes you want to look. Some tips I took from these is 1.) Make the bookshelf white, or a light wood hue that keeps the room bright. 2.) Adding greenery to the space is a great way to bring the outdoors in. 3.) Space out your books in some areas so that there’s some space — don’t crowd the entire shelf.

Happy Friday!

  1. Love a good styled bookshelf! I used to have the most beautiful built-in and now I don’t have any in my new apartment, so this is inspiring me to make one myself. Love it!

  2. I cannot wait until I am back in my own space and am finally reunited with all of my precious books simply so I can build myself a bookshelf! I have been thinking about using wine crates for a while and that inspo photo you’ve included here is AMAZING! I love that it takes up the entire wall! Ahhh… Heaven…

  3. I’m loving the all-white and airy look – especially the lightness of the bookshelves in the second to last picture. But also, how cute is that entire wall of crates!
