{Urban Outfitters bomber jacket (very similar and this one comes in 3 colors!) / Topshop cropped tee (very similar) / Cole Haan sunglasses / Nike sneakers (love these and these}

There’s something so effortlessly chic about the athleisure trend. Sporty, yet feminine. Relaxed, yet refined. The trend is everywhere and constantly worn by celebrities and models (hello, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid)! I’m a big fan because it’s so cozy and practical to wear on weekends — and also easy to transition from working out to a dinner out with friends. I can’t get  enough!

This weekend I celebrated my sister’s birthday by going out to dinner in downtown Raleigh (at Humble Pie — I definitely recommend it if you haven’t been!) followed by kayaking and coffee on the lawn in Saxapahaw the next day. I love lazy afternoons in Saxapahaw for several reasons — it’s far enough to where it feels like a mini vacation, and the (very tiny) town has surprisingly a lot going on.  There are running and biking trails, the river for kayaking, scenic views, and a fun coffee shop and outdoor restaurant that overlook treetops and the river that runs through. There’s also a general store that serves hot and fresh food, plus there are always both outdoor and indoor concerts and events (outdoor on the lawn, indoor in the music hall that you can overlook from the coffee shop). There’s also a brewery with some fantastic local beer! I’d definitely recommend spending an afternoon in the area if you’re passing through. Happy Monday!

  1. I love this trend too, sportswear but chic. Perfectly comfy too. It’s got to be the very best trend right now and I hope it prevails a little more too. I don’t think I’ve indulged in this one as much as I’d like. Especially after seeing your look. Loving that bomber to death!
