I always look forward to our annual trip to NYC for the holidays. This year I was able to spend more time in the city than usual (we have relatives just outside of the city, so we always spend a few days there as well), so I was able to explore more than I normally would. The first day my sister and I shopped around Madison Ave. and stopped in Zara (as we don’t have it in NC). We met our friend Traci for dinner in Nolita afterwards and didn’t finish until about 10 p.m., so we headed home — we were so tired!
The second day we walked through west village and stopped at a cute little cafe where I ordered the best chicken soup of my life (I wasn’t feeling wonderful, and it hit the spot)! They poached two eggs in it — I don’t think I’m ever going to make chicken soup without eggs again FYI! Definitely try it if you can!
We enjoyed a few days in the suburbs with family on Christmas Eve and Christmas day on both my mom and dad’s side. Afterwards, we headed back into the city with my parents this time, and we explored all of the beautiful windows in Bergdorf Goodman and Saks, as well as seeing the tree in Rockefeller Center. We also ate at a gorgeous cafe for brunch called Rosemary. The food was incredible, and the decor was stunning — I couldn’t stop looking! Definitely try it out if you’re ever in west village!
Overall it was a wonderful trip as usual! Below are a few of the photos I took. Enjoy!
Catching up with a friend at the coffee shop attached to Urban Outfitters.
Six mile run on the Bronx River Parkway in Scarsdale.
Eating an assortment of cookies while waiting for our dinner table to be ready. That might be backwards from the norm, but I quite enjoyed the switch-up!
Gorgeous Anthropologie chandelier — seriously, can I have this in my dining room please?!
My delicious meal at Rosemary. I ordered the Uovo en Purgatorio. The family agreed mine was the best — definitely recommend this one!
Sequin crop top that’s perfect for parties!
We found these fantastic cups and shot glasses made out of himalayan sea salt! What a great gift idea for a tequila drinker! We noted the store, The Meadow (in west village), because I have a few friends who would love a gift like this.
My new jacket that was a Christmas gift from my sister.
