Upper East Side and a Bittersweet Goodbye

Happy Monday! I’m very eager for this week to fly by as I’ll be taking a week off with the family in Charleston (Isle of Palms) starting Saturday! I’ll be spending the week with both my immediate family and relatives on my dad’s side. The last time we vacationed together was in 2012, so I’m ready to relax and see everyone!

These are the last photos of my NYC trip. I wore this Old Navy dress while we crossed some important to-do’s off of our city list (like grabbing a famous bacon egg and cheese bagel, going to Laduree for macaroons, and strolling through Central Park). It was a beautiful but bittersweet day as I had to say goodbye to my sister who is moving to Oregon. I knew it would be hard, but the moment we said our goodbyes hit us like a brick wall to say the least. Leaving each other is never easy — she’s my only sibling, my best friend, my “other half” as we say — but this goodbye was definitely the hardest. Not that I think I’ll see her any less, but mentally the distance between us is so overwhelming! I’m anxious to see her in Charleston and to visit her in Oregon early next year.
