A Personal Celebratory Gift

z008fI feel like lately I’ve been hearing exciting news from a different friend or family member on a weekly basis. Between engagement parties, birthdays, graduations, baby announcements, and so many other celebrations, there are so many reasons to honor friends and family! When the wave of celebrations started, many times we would plan a small get-together the same day we’d hear the news. I wondered what I could bring for the guest of honor that would be both personal and easy to do on a whim.

One of my favorite things to give are fresh flowers. They offer something so unique and personal. I decided to make my  bouquets even more unique by wrapping them with brown paper and adding my favorite ribbon. I felt like it was the perfect idea and something that could be easily done with short notice.

  1. Your DIYs are amazing. You have such great taste and you are so creative. Could you please move next door to me?

One gift I got that totally stands out was this beautiful picnic basket. It wasn’t a pre-made one or set. The person bought the basket and then picked out all the different things to complete it. It was adorable and had cute utensils and wine glasses and came with a blanket. It was a great gift with a nice personal touch.

  2. How have I never come across your gorgeous blog before? I absolutely love it all, from the content to the layout to the photographs.

I love giving flowers and the zig-zag scissors are such a cool touch for jazzing up brown paper (I do love parcel paper!).

p.s. Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment 🙂

  3. Such a wonderful idea! I think my favorite thing to receive is either a handmade/written card and flowers! Spot on!

Also, I want scissors that can do that haha =)

  4. I love this! Why didn’t I ever think to do this, lol?
I love beautiful ribbons and paper so I’m usually underwhelmed by the ordinary wrappings at the local flower shops. I’m going to get some brown paper and pretty ribbon to have on hand – thanks for sharing 🙂

  5. Perfect idea!
I love how this simple step elevates a simple gift to the next level! That ribbon looks so luxe !
    Thanks for sharing 🙂

  6. This is the perfect idea!! I love receiving flowers so this makes it that much better. That’s a pretty ribbon, by the way.
