The Best Matcha Latte Smoothie

boho chic cafeA few months ago I stumbled upon several matcha latte recipes. I’ve seen them around for a long time and was always curious about the taste. I finally decided to try one, and a couple of months later I’m making them every other day. It’s a win-win for me – I feel like I’m having a treat at 10 in the morning!

z007f z034f z043f z057f z067f½ cup light coconut milk (I like canned better)

½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

½ tsp matcha powder

1/3 cup frozen kale

½ scoop vanilla protein powder (optional – I happen to like the taste and it holds me over, but not everyone does)

1 tsp of almond (or vanilla) extract

Cinnamon to taste

Stevia to taste

Add more milk or water if you’d like a thinner consistency.

This is my own recipe I’ve adapted to little by little, so feel free to use this as a starting point and see what works for you. Would love to know what your favorite version is in the comments!

    I’lI definitely be trying this and I think I’ll use frozen spinach.

  2. So excited you posted this! I had the best matcha latte the other day and didnt know how to make my own… it was soo good. The almond extract sounds like itll add an extra oomph!
