Dark Colors in Autumn

It’s no surprise that fall is the most beautiful time of year here in NC. The high today is 70 (!!) so it’s a perfect day for an outdoor lunch before I hibernate behind thick blankets, fireplaces, and fuzzy socks.

Do you ever have that item you purchased on a whim, and a year later you’ve probably worn it 100 times? This H&M jacket purchase wasn’t planned, and a couple of years later I’ve reached for it for virtually any occasion. It’s all in the length and rich suede material. It’s perfectly cohesive with a dress for work, jeans and booties for a dinner with friends, flats for running errands, or paired with a skirt/tights combo for drinks. Unfortunately this particular jacket isn’t available anymore, but this one and this one are very similar.

  1. Love that mix of burnt orange and hunter green. Great way to put the two colors together without using the usual suspects like plaid or Aztec!

  2. Love this photoshoot! Your outfit is perfect for this background! I love the all black with the orange purse! Those booties are amazing too!
