Banana Coffee Smoothie

I have an obsession with cold coffee. Whether it’s July or January, I have no shame in ordering an Iced Americano. This Banana Coffee Smoothie  is one of my favorite recipes because it satisfies both my coffee and dessert cravings at the same time without consuming anything too unhealthy. I’ll make it either after a workout or after dinner for a late-night fix.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup chilled dark coffee or espresso
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 ripe large bananas

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process 2 minutes or until smooth.
