I was extremely fortunate to have attended college in a beach town. Though it was difficult to go with school, work, and internships, I tried to take advantage of the beach as much as possible. I regularly lived in sundresses, shorts, and sandals, whether I was in class during the week or out and about on the weekends. I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite beach must-haves for those who are able to get away and spend some time at the beach this summer.

  1. Hi Sarah!
You asked on my blog for some Salzburg recommendations — I would love to share some tips with you!
We were only in Salzburg for a few days but we saw some wonderful things.
The view from these photographs is from the Mönchsberg Art Gallery and the Salzburg Castle (Fortress Hohensalzburg).
You can pay a small fee and go up an elevator at Mönchsberg to see these views. From Mönchsberg we walked along the trail to the Salzburg castle — you will see signs directing you where to go! At the Castle, there is an audio guide and more beautiful views to see. The walkways within the Castle are very steep so make sure you have appropriate walking shoes!
We also went to the iconic Cafe Tomaselli which was really quaint and charming, but very expensive, so expect that if you go!
We went out to eat at a delicious italian restaurant called L’Osteria. Amazing for mojitos and ginormous pizzas!
We also went to Mirabelle Palace to see the beautiful gardens.
We found an independent boutique called Calamita which sold stunning clothing, shoes, and accessories — try to seek it out! The address is Griesgasse 27.
On our last day we booked a tour to see Hallstatt which I would 100% recommend. Ours included a mini Sound of Music tour too, so if you are a fan, don’t miss out on that! The tours are usually a full day, so you have to factor that into your itinerary.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
